DescriptionHeadquartered in Austin, Texas, Four Hands is the leading global designer and wholesaler of lifestyle home furnishings. We design, manufacture, and distribute our products and support the growing needs of large retail chains, e-commerce businesses, independent regional stores, and interior designers. The Four Hands Distribution Team operates out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. In the Fall of 2024, we are opening a 565,000 sqft warehouse in East Austin to condense four warehouses into one to be a centralized hub for our distribution network. A role in our distribution center means being at the heart of our industry by getting products to our customers as quickly as possible. We are looking for an innovative, high impact player to strategically build out this next journey for us.
In This Role\nLead and manage all aspects of multi-site warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and shipping \nConduct appropriate planning, forecasting, budgeting and allocation of resources in support of business objectives and strategies\nDevelop and implement strategic plans for warehouse operations to meet company objectives and customer demands; maintain P&L accountability for the facility and operation\nBuild and nurture a high-performing warehouse team, providing employee development, guidance, coaching, and support to ensure efficient and safe operations\nCollaborate with People & Culture to hire, train, develop, and coach warehouse managers, ensuring optimal staffing and training levels\nLead daily and weekly operational reviews to ensure seamless communication and efficient execution\nOptimize warehouse processes and layout, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and enhance efficiency\nParticipate, maintain, and ensure execution and compliance of safety initiatives, quality standards, and protocols\nSupport inventory initiatives through proper inventory management and cycle count procedure\nSupport freight optimization strategy\nProvide leadership and direction; establish operating principles, foster collaboration between functions, and set goals and objectives \nEnsure accountability at all levels in the facility for achievement of organizational and business goals\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team\nOther tasks as defined by Management\n
The Ideal Person\n10+ years of progressive operations and logistics leadership experience in a wholesale, distribution or fulfillment environment \nBachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain \nDemonstrated experience using continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma to lead operational transformation\nStrong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM); experience with WMS required\nProven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity\nAbility to streamline or implement structure to boost speed and efficiency while supporting business demands\n
