Job Objectives:

Creative Handling

Initiate, ideate, develop, and refine creative concepts for IPs and projects. Write outlines, scripts, and creative treatments. Work with writers to interpret and develop scripts. Work with creative directors to transform client briefs into creative treatments. Work with cinematographers and art directors to translate scripts and concepts into compelling visuals. Work with producers and production managers to organize production activities including casting decisions, location scouting, and overall planning. Work closely with editors to review and provide input on the editing process including cuts, sound design, color grading, and visual effects. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and technologies in order to stay competitive and bring innovative ideas to projects. Mentoring and guiding junior members of the team, helping them develop their skills and grow as professionals. Lead and inspire the crew to execute the directorial vision. Direct actors and crew during filming; ensuring the vision is executed seamlessly.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the creative team Works closely with the writers, designers, and other creative professionals to ensure that the production meets the artistic vision of the team. Communicating with the cast and crew Director serves as a leader and communicator, making sure that everyone involved in the production is on the same page and working towards a common goal. Making artistic decisions Director has the final say on all creative decisions, including which actors are cast, how scenes are staged Creating a vision for the production Responsible for creating a clear vision for the production and communicating that vision to the rest of the creative team. This includes deciding on the overall aesthetic and tone of the production, as well as determining the direction and pacing of the performance. Managing the technical aspects of the production Works with the lighting, sound, and set design teams to create the overall look and feel of the production. They may give specific instructions on how to light certain scenes or how to use sound effects and music to enhance the performance.
