Background:
Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions is seeking a motivated, organized individual to play an integral role on the new Investor Services team, based in Mumbai, India.
The role-holder will help build and lead a team of analysts and will be responsible for partnering with the existing investor relations and investor servicing team to create a globally integrated investor servicing model with a focus on the APAC and EMEA regions.
The incumbent will play an important client service role by owning several investor query inboxes and collaborating with investor relations and other internal teams on an ongoing basis. The Director will be responsible for resourcing, delegating, directing, evaluating and developing the team of analysts, with the goal of providing the highest quality of client service tailored to the private wealth channel.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the team that coordinates and prepares responses to investor requestsManage shared inboxes by ensuring team logs all investor queriesDirectly answer investor requests, if appropriate, or assign to relevant Investor Relations team members; and return completed deliverables to investor Ensure the highest service quality and turnaround timesMaintain and report on key performance indicatorsDistribute recurring investor reportingTrain and develop the team of analysts to deliver exemplary customer serviceManage and update repository of historical investor request responses Determine urgency of investor requests and prioritize accordingly Oversee the Investor Services team’s maintenance of the contact database and update investor contact information as needed Stay current on requests and projects across all funds and team members; send reminders when appropriate and act as “project manager” Develop opinions on how to better manage IS team processes; effectively communicate recommendations to the team and formulate systematic, logical implementation plans Liaise with finance, tax and legal teams to obtain information relating to investor requests Provide suggestions on any process improvements, from time to time.Coordinate with and receive directions from IR leadership in Toronto and MumbaiQualifications:
12-+ years’ work experience, preference for experience working in financial services/asset management industry in a similar role Masters of Business Administration with a Finance focus and / or chartered accountancy designation is requiredA background in fund accounting/ reporting and/or direct experience in asset management client serviceExperience in one of the following fund structures is a plus: private funds, semi-liquid / evergreen, public fundsExperience in one of the following asset classes is a plus: real estate, infrastructure, renewables, private equity, creditDemonstrated ability to lead a team in a global, fast-paced, investor-focused environmentAbility to work with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and comfort working in a matrixed organizationExcellent writing and communication skills; fluency in English; ability to convey information in an effective and professional manner Superior organization skills with great attention to detail; ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities Willingness and capability to take ownership of projects and deliverables Competence in making judgment calls independently, where appropriateA flexible mindset; open to handling projects and tasks that evolve over time Ability to learn quickly and recognize patterns in how investor responses are crafted Technological skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to rapidly become an expert in software used by the team (Front, Monday.com, Loopio, Salesforce, etc.)Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
