The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization with 600+ colleagues. It is American Express’ marketing services and servicing comms center of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing & servicing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.

As Director Assistant, you will report to the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences.  You will serve as chief of staff and be a key member of the ECMX Leadership Team.  ECMX operates in a dynamic, fast-evolving space, and candidates should thrive in environments with high levels of ambiguity and change.  ECMX also has a number of key MarTech/MarOps and servicing comms transformation initiatives underway and this role will play an integral role in ensuring the success of these initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Work hand-in-hand with SVP to evolve team’s vision & strategy and play an integral role in establishing priorities and tracking progress.  Develop strategies and ways of working to support and empower ECMX’s leadership team to deliver against those priorities as effectively and efficiently as possible. Independently and effectively partner with the ECMX Leadership Team to oversee and project manage key processes, including business planning, budget management, and talent management (e.g. talent assessment, annual performance management, etc.). Oversee and proactively manage the day-to-day operational activities and communications of the ECMX Executive Office to the highest standard, constantly seeking and rolling out best practices for managing efficiently. Craft presentations for key business updates with senior leaders and internal stakeholders. Plan and develop content/agenda for meetings led by SVP (e.g., Leadership Team meetings, market and vendor visits, global Town Halls, cross-BU presentations). Lead ECMX-wide employee engagement initiatives focused on team building, DEI, Learning & Development, MarTech Community. Spearhead critical talent management and organization design initiatives and fostering an inclusive team environment Engage with EDDS Executive Office on business deliverables and monthly processes (e.g. Board Meetings, AXP Executive Team meetings, headcount tracking, budget management, etc.) Own/drive specific strategic initiatives and projects as determined by the SVP and in partnership with the ECMX leadership Team and other BU stakeholders as indicated.

Qualifications & Experience

A successful candidate will have: Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information Prior experience in project / program office management, with a proven track record of digging into details and managing detailed projects. Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment. Strong written presentation skills and ability to story tell for more senior level audiences. Ability to build strong relationships across a diverse team and set of business partners. High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability and resiliency.

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
