About the Role
Secondment role representing AIA Group Office offering technical assistance advisory support to its strategic investment China Post Life (CPL). The incumbent is responsible for improving the financial condition of CPL, through providing financial advice and support including but not limited to Actuarial, Finance, IFRS reporting and Capital Management, so as to meet AIA’s goals in this strategic investment.Roles & Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert in Actuarial, Finance and Capital Management covering areas including:Financial review and analysisCapital management/projection and budget planningShareholder and policyholder dividend reviewEV, VONB and other Actuarial methodology and assumption reviewAny related projects such as IFRS 17Review /provide recommendation on matters that go to the Technical Assistance Advisory Committee (TAAC), CPL shareholder meetings and CPL Board meetings.Timely communication with AIA Group Office regarding changes in CPL/industry including regulation, business strategy, and financial reporting issues. Coordinate data or other information requests from AIA Group Office.Provide media management advice to CPL and support AIA Group Office in preparing CPL related materials for AIA’s results announcement.Review CPL quarterly and annual external disclosurePrepare and confirm AIA’s results announcement materials related to CPLBridging the information gap between AIA Group Office and CPLSupport TAA Team Head in any additional prioritiesProvide actuarial support to other TAA functional areas as needed, such as analyzing distribution compensation structure.Job Requirements:
University graduate with minimum 15 years relevant experienceFellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional bodySolid experience and knowledge in actuarial/ finance and understanding the insurance market in AsiaExposure in other Actuarial areas including financial reporting, risk and capital managementStrong business acumen, problem solving skills, numerical sense, and attention to detailExcellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across functions to drive positive business outcomes.Strong technical skills and negotiation skillsExcellent project management skillsExperience working across geographic boundaries and cultures and shows respect and sensitivity for cultural diversity, treats people with respect regardless of their position or status, exhibits high standard of integrity in decision making, and adheres to extremely high ethical codes of conductLess experienced candidate will be considered for an Associate Director roleBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live healthier, longer, better lives.
