Position Summary

Responsible for the development of the Brand voice and personality by partnering with the Marketing Lead and Brand creative agency. Responsible for leading the overall Brand communication platform that delivers on the Brand Strategy and Purpose, all within the Brand's personality with the intent to deepen the emotional connection with customers. This position leads the concept, design, and delivery of on-strategy creative across ALL marketing contact points (Broadcast, In-Store, Circular, collateral, etc.) inclusive of all Digital marketing elements. Also responsible for ensuring that any use of the Brand that is created outside of marketing is within the approved style guide as determined by this position. This person leads the brand communications team in continually enhancing the Brands image that will increase awareness, emotional connection and break through the clutter of competitive communication. Also, builds the department's ability and capacity to create value through on-time, flawless execution.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Directs the strategy and creation of a seamless and integrated brand experience for customers across all vehicles and channels Owns the brand personality and ensures consistent look & feel across the organization. Responsible for all advertising creative development and production that align to the overall Brand strategy Lead an extensive team of highly specialized and creative designers to ensure strategic initiatives are met and KPI's are delivered while building associate engagement Responsible for the strategy and development of in-store communication, including décor that delivers on the overall Brand communication strategy Oversees the weekly circular development process, including the creative development and production accounting for $35m in annual spend. Manages an internal Print Shop team to ensure weekly retail signage needs are met. Drive operational efficiencies in the creative and production process to improve costs and/or speed to market Responsible for transparency in accounting, budget controls, and quality monthly estimates of expense and budgets
Basic Qualification
Minimum 10 years direct experience in building and managing a consumer brand
Preferred Qualification
Proven track record in the development of a Brand communication campaign that aligns with the set Brand strategy. Deep knowledge of traditional and digital advertising as well as new media evolution and customer communication channel convergence Proven expertise in key digital disciplines/platforms including creative website and app development and user experience
Education
Master's degree (preferred) Bachelor's degree
Experience
Retail experience preferred Experience in retail store décor design Knowledge/experience of the pre-production process for a weekly flyer
Skills and abilities
Demonstrated ability to take a Brand strategy and bring it to life through a strategic Brand communication plan and advertising campaign across all media channels. Must have demonstrated ability to work in digital, print, direct marketing, in-store point of sale and broadcast media Ability to execute on creative projects from concept through production Must have demonstrated ability to utilize a traffic/project management process/work flow Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment, while not compromising quality Strong conceptual skills with ability to self-execute when necessary Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear visual solutions
Competencies
Must have demonstrated ability to manage and develop the skills of a team of in-house designers and work with external agencies as well. Excellent project management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and proven competency at cross-functional collaboration at all levels of the organization
