Director - Broking

The Role

Leads placement of representations and warranties insurance policies, from submission to final closing of the transaction. Acts as a thought leader (e.g., attends industry conferences as a WTW representative), including publication of deal alerts, articles, and other materials. Leads interactions with client and client’s outside counsel regarding policy placement and underwriting process. Leads negotiations with underwriters regarding policy terms and conditions, including all aspects of pricing and coverage. Provides clients with strategic advice and expertise on complicated business issues and insurance solutions. Participates in RFP responses and presentations; attends proactive sales meetings and works on growth opportunities for the Transactional Solutions team. Identifies and engages appropriate local and national resources for clients. Helps motivate and mentor Associate Brokers. Strengthens TIS team’s relationship with law firm business sources and insurers.

The Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in transactional insuranceDeep technical knowledge of representations and warranties insurance policies and their interrelationship with transaction documents, and an ability to communicate transactional insurance principles to clients and insurersExceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent written and oral presentation skillsAbility to act as an ambassador for the WTWAbility to provide expert, in-depth advice to client resulting in overall client satisfactionProven leadership skills and a track record of mentorship/people development a plusBachelor’s level degree required – JD or LLB preferredLicenses as required by state law

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $250,000– $350,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
