Director Business Development - Automotive

Job purpose:

Drive sales activities, across a defined customer base in the Korea region, with specific sales targets for Ambarella’s automotive product lines.

Key responsibilities:

Own and drive Ambarella’s strategy within the defined account base. Secure design wins at strategic automotive customers for Ambarella’s automotive products spanning ADAS domain; CMS, DMS, DVR, FC, ICMS/OMS, Radar, etc. Collaborate with marketing and engineering departments to help coordinate project management for major opportunities. Work with marketing team to secure press releases for major customer programs. In conjunction with engineering and marketing teams, gather key inputs for roadmap device definitions and secure alpha customers in region. Work with Italian VisLab team to develop automotive vision customers. Consolidate and report out sales forecasts and other market and sales related data to executive management.

Education and Experience Requirement:

BSEE minimum. MSEE preferred.

Good engineering background for valued communication with engineering members Established history of navigating large, complex customer organizations to gain access to key executives, engineering and purchasing decision makers.  Strong communicator with well-established relationships at automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers. Experience and track record of various semiconductor platform with significant systems and software elements.  Working knowledge of automotive ADAS systems with emphasis on video and image processing technologies. Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively as part of a global go-to-market team
