Director Business Development- Western Region
Overview Expected pay for this position is $56.87 - $75.35/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director Business Development, supports the development and execution of the strategic plans for OSF Healthcare System. Completes complex research on new strategies, strategic challenges and business development offerings and summarizes findings and formulates approaches to complex business issues. Creates timely, innovative, service/business plans, strategic plans, market analysis and documents industry trends. Routinely presents recommendations to management regarding planning activities. Responsible for growth through the development of relationships with targeted business customers, through regional business development specialists, key affiliations, and M&A activity. Implements the recommended internal organizational structure and staffing for the support of business development through sales, acquisitions, partnerships, and mergers. Oversees the development of referral and retention plans, referral growth, tracking and measurement systems and internal communications plans to effectively support business growth activities. Supports business development specialists through internal development of on-boarding, training, services, issue resolution management processes, tracking systems and overall strategic program management. Serve as primary contact for regional facilities and liaison between regional facility leadership and OSF leadership. Runs complex programs and projects that may be lead internally or externally by consulting partners. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, healthcare administration, healthcare clinical care, or other closely related field. Experience: Knowledge of healthcare delivery and management, strategic planning, basic budgeting and healthcare legislation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree Experience: Approximately three to five years experience in healthcare operations and planning is required. Approximately three to five years providing research, analysis and decision support Understanding of business development, strategic planning and business planning Exposure and/or training in 6 Sigma and or other PI methodologies and measurement are preferred.
