Director-Business Process Innovation
A Brief Overview   This position will be responsible for leading and managing the continuous improvement efforts for multiple departments.  This person will work closely with senior business leaders and partner to help bring greater efficiencies to the operations.  In addition to conducting detailed analysis of current business processes, this position will manage the process redesign, implementation and change management efforts. The Director will gather information from employees through interviews, personal observation and focus groups.  

This role is eligible to participate in Zenith’s hybrid work schedule which provides the flexibility to work from home on select days of the week according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership. Selected candidate must be able to report into the Woodland Hills, CA or Roseville, CA office on a weekly basis.

  What you will do   Primary responsibilities include prioritizing/grooming the Backlog in alignment with business and stakeholder priorities, interpreting business needs so they can be actioned by the IT Delivery Team, communicating business value, and reviewing test results to determine acceptance for delivery/implementation. Partner with senior business leaders and stakeholders to understand business challenges, objectives and priorities, and define strategy for process improvement activities. Participate in P&C AgriBusiness or WC department level activities such as roadmap planning, theme prioritization, cross team dependency identification and coordination, and resource planning. Manage multiple, simultaneous process redesign projects Working closely with internal teams and business process analysis contractors. Define continuous improvement methodologies and protocol to be rolled out corporate wide. Work across all levels of the organization to identify research and recommend refinements to current business processes and technologies, and develop solutions that optimize operational and technological efficiencies to positively impact operations. Define and lead change management requirements and provide guidance to business leaders to identify and lead effective changes. Lead and document internal meetings designed to analyze current business process challenges and develop alternative solutions for business process improvements. Work closely with IT department to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvements to our systems. Develop cost/ benefit projections and performance measurement indicators. Regularly communicate with Internal Audit when business processes, controls, BCP, and other key areas are impacted. Provide leadership and facilitation, as needed, for Enterprise Discovery efforts and Sprint 0 activities.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience. Experience in leading process implementation or process design and improvement projects required. Strong project management skills. Ability to understand the big picture of a business situation and how to identify and resolve key issues. Experience meeting with users, stakeholders and management in activities such as analyzing workflows and developing business requirements. Committed, energetic and collaborative. Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, as well as analytical, problem-solving and customer interaction skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Must possess technology proficiency and a willingness to learn new applications.  Experience with Microsoft Office and applications required. Experience in insurance environment preferred. Some travel will be required. 

The expected salary range for this position is $136,676.67 to $159,252.73. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
