Responsible for the development, implementation, growth and management of the Cardiovascular Service Line, including cardiac catheterization lab, echo, stress lab and EKG. Provide direct operational oversight and management of care for staff and patients. Ensure that the service line demonstrates a high-quality, cost-effective program in order to position cardiovascular services as a leader in the region. Works closely with other nursing directors, organizational leaders and clinical services across the organization to achieve program goals. Partners with nursing educators to ensure ongoing education and competencies are achieved. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to maintain the Chest Pain Accreditation and Heart Failure Accreditation (HF). Establish strong partnerships and collaborative working relationships with cardiologists and other physicians to promote evidence-based practice for the ACS and HF patients. Responsible for oversight for accreditations in Cardiac Catheterization, Chest Pain and Heart Failure. Chair respective accreditation committees and represent the hospital (s) in the community to ensure the provision of innovative community-based cardiac education and services.
Required:
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of Massachusetts. Current BLS and ACLS certification required. Minimum of five years Cardiology experience, with 3-5 years involved in the direct care of the ACS patient in either the Cardiac Catheterization lab, CCU or Telemetry. 3-5 years of progressively more complex administrative responsibility in the Cardiology setting Demonstrated Skills required in patient care, leadership, and interpersonal relationships Strong written and verbal skills Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple priorities and to manage projects from initiation to completion within prescribed schedules and utilization of resources. Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a manner that is reflective of the hospital mission, vision and values.Preferred: A Master's Degree in Management or healthcare.
