Director – Cloud Engineering & Application Modernization

About the Role

PwC is seeking a Director – Cloud Engineering & Application Modernization to lead transformative digital initiatives, drive cloud migration strategies, and spearhead innovation in cloud and application modernization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Cloud Engineering, Application Modernisation, AI Integration, and Technology Delivery Management, along with proven leadership in building high-performing teams and driving strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering & Application Modernization

Spearhead Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) and lead large-scale application modernization projects.Drive cloud transformation initiatives across AWS, Azure, and modern DevOps architectures.Oversee the design and implementation of Microservices, API-first strategies, and AI-driven accelerators.Provide technical assessments and advisory to Fortune 500 CXOs, aligning cloud solutions with business objectives.

Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence

Lead high-impact engagements for clients.Ensure 90%+ client satisfaction by optimizing project execution, governance, and risk mitigation.Guide RFP and pre-sales activities, enhancing PwC’s digital capabilities and expanding client base.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise:

Deep expertise in Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), Microservices (Spring Boot, API Gateway), and DevOps (CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes).Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Apigee, API-led architectures, and application integration.Proven track record in Data Engineering, AI Automation, and Cloud Security Frameworks.

Leadership & Business Acumen:

Strong people management skills, leading and mentoring large teams.Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.Proven success in scaling operations, optimizing resource allocation, and driving innovation.
