We are looking to hire a Director of Corporate Initiatives & Partnerships within the International Card Services (ICS) Corporate Product and Enablement team. American Express ICS is the global leader in the payment solutions space for large and small businesses. The Corporate Product and Enablement team, within ICS is responsible for creating the strategy and roadmap for Corporate products for the Large and Mid-market segments across International, leading the commercial sales enablement programme for commercial colleagues and driving strategic business development initiatives. Director of Corporate Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships, is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable growth for ICS Corporate through developing strategic business development initiatives, managing and leveraging an existing global Partnership by collaborating with local market teams and Enterprise partners. The successful colleague will manage an existing global partner but define what winning looks like for incremental partners, whilst defining, building and delivering business development initiatives across ICS. **How will you make an impact in this role?** + Develop new business development and partnership opportunities to unlock profitable and sustainable growth for ICS Corporate (i.e. lead generation, trigger initiatives) + Provide strategy and support for existing partnership and B2B initiatives across markets + Build an aligned agenda and action plan with GMS + Support development of enhanced corporate capabilities such as onboarding to modernize customer experience + Centrally manage global corporate partnership(s) on behalf of ICS to ensure strong collaboration and meaningful impact to the overall ICS Corporate P&L + Critical to success is ensuring all Control requirements are met and robust governance is in place **Minimum Qualifications:** + Extensive experience in business development and stakeholder management with a proven ability to generate new opportunities and execute against existing priorities + Robust strategic skills, with a proven ability to set clear strategies, execute and drive meaningful results across markets + Experience in a global role working across countries and cultures required + Exceptional professional communication skills – clear, logical, and structured + Experience in the Corporate space & knowledge/experience working with GMNS business required + Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand P&L to determine levers for growth + Outstanding analytical and strategic skill set, with proven ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear recommendations and influence + Adaptable interpersonal skills, high energy, and a proven record of coaching and hiring top talent and leading a cross-cultural team + Strong people leadership skills, tailoring approach as required to team dynamic, individuals and cultural norms, creating a high impact collaborative and inclusive team + Understanding of Control requirements a plus + Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus **Qualifications** We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
