FlexStaff is seeking a Director, Construction Services for our client, a full-service accounting firm in Suffolk County.  Our client has been recognized as one of Long Island Business News’s Best Places to Work for the fourth straight year. 

Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office

The Construction Director will oversee and grow our construction services practice. Key responsibilities include:

Managing assurance and tax engagements for construction clients, developing engagement plans, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables Acting as the primary relationship manager for construction clients, addressing their unique needs and challenges Mentoring staff, providing training, and contributing to their professional development Supporting firm-wide growth initiatives, including marketing and outreach in the construction sector

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (required); CPA licensure (required) 10+ years of relevant public accounting experience, preferably in the construction sector Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Tax preferred
