Job Summary The director oversees the evaluation of the relationships between the technology and the consumer actions through data, becoming the subject matter expert responsible for the creation and development of standards for reporting. A key element to this role is to analyze consumer behavior, the relationship with television interactivity and developing advertising projection models by advertising categories and supply insights to support clients in meeting business objectives. The director plays a strategic role internally and with clients; supporting how we sell our data assets and plays a key role in shaping the mindset of how we grow the business. Takes lead client pitches and positioning data to support the client's goals and bring in revenue.   The director will work directly with advertisers, agencies, and sales management to develop and present reporting results for the various campaigns implemented by the data analytics team. The scope of responsibility includes managing the process and tools for capturing and analyzing key performance metrics derived from the various advanced advertising platforms and developing requirements to tie performance across advanced advertising products deployed. This role also serves as consultant to both AMS and BI team as lead contact on both source system data points and elements and trends. Responsibilities Perform role as strategic research consultant to current/prospective clients by providing historical insights of campaignsBuild and present to clients campaign recommendations regarding their segments, media plan, networks/dayparts, and campaign deliverySet campaign expectations for sales teams and clients based on best data practicesLead sales presentations to client decision makers and develop optimization on current campaigns based on data resultsDefine and Develop new Data products that would be commercialized to existing and new clientsProvide cross -platform, cross product and product specific trends and insightsUtilize internal (database, BI tools) and external (White Papers, Trend Reports, Conferences) information to develop sales and industry collateralGather and define business and reporting requirements for new productsCreate use cases around data requests and requirements for report development for BI team.Direct BI team/Report writer on goal of data elements to tie Product performance data and resultsProvide leadership and subject matter expertise on best practices and standards for interactive media research, analysis and reporting.Develop and manage process for capturing and analyzing key ad performance metrics across multiple digital media platforms.Manage the production and distribution of reports with research and reports encompassing audience trends, ad performance and interaction rates.Develop in-depth case studies that showcase Cablevision's Advanced Advertising results and solutions.Train both Research & Sales staff on New Media metrics and business standards.Share key insights of overall industry and consumer behavior internally and externallyOversee the production and creation of business reporting requirements for Data warehouse and business intelligence tool.Qualifications Management SkillsStrong leadership skills with the ability to teach research concepts, definitions and systems to both Research and Sales staffs.Serves as a strategic partner on how we can grow the data business and can identify opportunitiesAbility to navigate complex, big data files and disseminate to various unitsAptitude to articulate performance metrics and their meaning to both internal and external clientsWork independently as well as a team playerWillingness to establish and maintain a variety of business relationshipsHighly organized and detail orientedWilling to support all business' needsTechnical/Functional CompetenciesExperience with business intelligence tools and database management tools such as SAS. SQL (Structured Query Language), Microstrategy and Cognos requiredAbility to format data in order to develop analytics to compare historical performance with current delivery.Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and technology including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access 2007Strong knowledge of online interactive metrics. Omniture, DoubleClick, Comscore experienceSkill to translate interactive metrics with linear television data.Key Experiences/AchievementsBA/BS degree in communications, television or media, or data related fieldMinimum of 10 years experience in research or television sales organization or combination of experience in statistical analysis and media at the college level.Experience working in the interactive environment ie advertising agency, broadcast television, cable television or internet.Can lead in a public form and explain data detail surrounding interactivity.Ability to work with mass amounts of data in database environmentsCan establish relationships quickly with internal and external partners/clientsCan pitch ideas and tell a story with data

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location $155,509.00- 190,000.00 year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
