Director Education Quality Improvement
Position Summary:   Responsible for Education and Quality Improvement department.  Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates Quality and Education program within MHMG.  Coordinates and implements education orientation and competencies in alignment with regulatory requirements, organization strategic initiatives, best practices and employee needs.  Ensures MHMG follows and adequately prepares for Regulations, including CMS/MDCH, OSHA and other accreditation requirements. Works collaboratively with Directors, on program development and integration activities for each service line.  Additionally, identifies, implements, and evaluates nursing information systems which support nursing practice.  This includes clinical process improvement, redesign and project management.    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:   Implements staff education programs for all divisions of the organization. Programs consist of on-site, on-line, take-home models.  Develops staff orientation programs for all divisions of the organization.  Orientation methods include:on-site corporate orientation, classroom clinical orientation, virtual classroom, preceptor program. Develops and implements staff competency programs for all divisions of the organization.   #LI-AK1 Required Qualifications: • BSN (or actively working towards, with a completion date within 2-years of acceptance into role) and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the          state of Michigan  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Home Care or Hospice  • Minimum 5 years home care and/or hospice education experience • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills  • Experience in a variety of educational formats/approaches and the use of technology in staff development • CPR Instructor certified or ability to be certified as such. • Current Michigan driver’s license and insured automobile for daily use.  Preferred Qualifications:   • Master’s degree in health care related field  • 2-3 years management experience • Experience in program development and project management   • Demonstrated experience of oversight of marketing/sales initiatives  • Minimum 2 years education experience in home care and hospice   • 1 year of experience in quality improvement related activities  • Minimum 1-year experience in wound care, IV’s, and Infusion Therapy.
