THE JOB:

The Director of Employee Relations collaborates closely with the Vice President of Employee Relations (ER) and Labor Relations (LR) Operations to lead, design, and manage all aspects of the Company’s ER/LR Center of Excellence, with a primary focus on employee relations functions. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures, while executing strategies that drive organizational performance in employee engagement and relations excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Lead the Employee Relations (ER) Center of Excellence staff, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met regarding the timely resolution of ER situations and minimizing expenses related to unfavorable outcomes.

Act as a trusted advisor by providing guidance and counsel to operational and property HR leaders on complex and escalated employee relations issues.

Collaborate with HR property leaders to analyze and address employee relations trends within their respective business units, delivering actionable insights and tailored support.

Drive the development, delivery, and ongoing effectiveness of Employee Relations training tools for operational management teams, enhancing their ability to manage workplace concerns effectively.

Oversee the creation and maintenance of employee relations metrics, scorecards, and dashboards, leveraging data to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

They bring 4+ years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.

7+ years of expertise in employee or labor relations.

This individual excels in driving team performance, conducting thorough and impartial investigations, and managing high-volume, complex cases.

They possess exceptional relationship-building skills, particularly with HR Vice Presidents and property leaders.

Have a deep understanding of labor statutes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
