Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director Enterprise Architect to lead the development and implementation of our organization's technology strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture, aligning IT initiatives with business goals, and creating technology roadmaps to guide our digital transformation efforts. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technology and its business applications. The ideal candidate will be able to balance long-term vision with practical, implementable solutions to drive the organization's technological advancement.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.Analyze current technology landscapes and identify areas for improvement, optimization, and innovation.Create comprehensive technology strategies that support business goals and drive digital transformation initiatives.Design and develop detailed technology roadmaps, outlining short-term and long-term plans for IT infrastructure, applications, and services.Collaborate with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization's technology landscape.Establish architecture governance processes and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and policies.Lead architecture review boards and provide guidance on complex technology decisions.Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, including reference architectures, solution blueprints, and technology standards.Mentor and guide solution architects and other IT professionals in the organization.Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology partners to support the enterprise architecture strategy.Conduct regular architecture assessments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Ensure that security and compliance requirements are integrated into the enterprise architecture.Present architecture strategies and roadmaps to executive leadership and other stakeholders.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to enterprise architecture.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Master's degree would be a plus.10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 7 years in enterprise architecture roles.Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).Extensive experience in developing technology strategies and roadmaps.In-depth understanding of various technology domains, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and application integration.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.Experience with architecture modeling tools and methodologies.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience in multiple industries or large-scale, complex organizations.Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.Experience with digital transformation initiatives.Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/Gen AI, IoT, and blockchain.Excellent written and verbal communications.Ability to relate and interact with all levels in the organization.Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are highly desirable.Physical Requirements:
