DIRECTOR - EXTENDED STUDIES
Job Summary: Coordinate the development, planning, and administration of summer/winter sessions, summer high school programs, continuing education programs, and opportunities for non-degree seeking students. In collaboration with partners across the college, manage existing opportunities and develop new initiatives that build upon the College's strengths, support recruitment and retention, and extend academic opportunities to Ithaca College students. Ensure courses, programs, and opportunities offer high quality learning experiences. Job Responsibilities: + Coordinate the development, planning and administration of summer/winter sessions for current IC students, summer high school programs, continuing education programs, and opportunities for non-degree seeking students. In collaboration with partners across the college, manage existing opportunities and develop new initiatives that extend robust academic opportunities in a welcoming environment to current and prospective IC students, as well as non-degree seeking students. + Coordinate academic summer/winter session offerings to include registration of students, review and approval of internship petitions, faculty compensation, facility arrangements, maintenance of the summer/winter sessions website, and compilation of statistical reports. + In collaboration with Associate Provost for Graduate and Professional Studies, develop and manage all budgets related to office of extended studies activity. + In collaboration with deans offices, request and process course proposals for summer and winter sessions. Coordinate summer/winter course offerings and facilities, create the course schedule, and develop the summer catalog and other summer publications. Serve as liaison to the deans and faculty to communicate course, enrollment, and summer employment information. + Maintain faculty policies for extended studies programs and serve as the primary faculty contact for summer/winter sessions. + Manage the IC-CU exchange program; serve as contact for students and faculty and provide information; coordinate enrollment and course requirements and contractual agreements. + Oversee the development, planning, and administration of continuing education opportunities, certificate programs, and other initiatives for non-degree seeking students. Serve as contact for students and faculty, coordinate program offerings and schedules; generate faculty letters of appointment and review special requests and exceptions to policy. Advise continuing education and non-degree seeking students. + Provide assistance and support to the Associate Provost for Graduate and Professional Studies in the development of new program initiatives; coordinate new program implementation to include collaborative work with other offices and faculty. + Collaborate with the Associate Provost for Graduate and Professional Studies on the development of marketing strategies for Extended Studies programs and manage the implementation of marketing plans to promote program recognition and growth. Manage the evaluation, assessment and reporting of Extended Studies programs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in the development and delivery of educational programs; familiarity with new and developing practices in higher education and professional development, program development and assessment; the ability to work with diverse individuals and groups across various departments and schools; demonstrated organizational abilities with excellent communication skills; and the ability to represent academic affairs effectively within and outside of the College community are required. This position is 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Hiring Range: $80,000 to $83,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
