Director Fabrication Operations

**Job Overview:**
The Director Fabrication Governance role requires comprehensive operations, management, and business expertise. The Director Fabrication Governance leads by working with senior functional leaders and sets strategy and goals and implements initiatives which lead to achieving company-wide objectives. They direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that have implications beyond their function. The Director Fabrication Governance applies broad industry, operational, and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance, influence internal stakeholders and impact customer relationships.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
• Provide governance of processes and procedures, setting the common elements of McDermott fabrication performance, so all customers receive a common experience
• Set annual standards and KPIs for fabrication performance and pursuit of sustainability goals, including coordinated reporting on fabrication facility performance and metrics
• Review budgets and performance expectations, making recommendations to the VP, Global Assets on acceptable standards
• Review fabrication results, estimates, and execution plans to ensure consistency and optimal strategies are implemented
• Organize the Fabrication Council and other inter-facility communication to promote effective collaboration and ensure the implementation of best practices and lessons learned
• Identify and implement business process and organizational improvements, and the evaluation and alignment of systems and tools
• Oversight and coordination of global fabrication facility capacity, workload, project allocation, and assessment of prospect prioritization
• Establishing plans for the short-term and long-term development of global fabrication facilities, including the review and recommendation of overall company fabrication strategy based on Business Line requirements, and also including reviews of capex, upgrades and operational improvements.
• Provide leadership, support, commitment, and guidance for HSE&S, Quality, and Compliance issues.
• Participate in the training, development, and mentoring of our key employees.
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or similar tertiary qualifications
+ Fifteen (15) years of experience in the Resource industry Project Management and Fabrication
+ Wide-ranging experience in general management, fabrication, engineering, estimating, Project Management, commercial / proposals, Project Controls, HSES, QA / QC
