As the Finance Director for Caterpillar Marine, you will provide leadership and oversight of the financial reporting and forecasting function as well as providing strategic counsel and business insights to drive performance and deliver profitable growth. This role must work across highly diverse and global teams to deliver insights that drive the business forward and partner with the business to develop solutions and services that meet customer needs and drive profitable growth. The role reports to the Division CFO of the Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Managing monthly financial analysis and reporting for the business
+ Providing oversight of the marine business accounting and reporting functions
+ Leading the development of the financial forecasts and annual business plan
+ Delivering commercial support for the development of new business models and pricing decisions
+ Partnering with legal, commercial and the services execution teams from contract development through review and approval
+ Providing technical guidance and expertise on highly complex accounting issues
+ Developing essential business information to drive optimization of short and long-term value creation and the achievement of financial and non-financial objectives.
+ Provide strategic counsel to enhance value and performance and position the business for long-term success
+ Analyzes business performance or trends of relevant industry, competitors, customers and partners.
+ Ensure proper trade-offs and focus on return-on-investments are driven in accordance with maximum total outcome for the enterprise
+ Championing a compliance first culture through ensuring high integrity reporting and a strong financial and regulatory (trade, anti-bribery, data privacy and fair competition) control environment.
+ Developing the best team through coaching, training & development, and career planning
**What You Have:**
+ **Education & Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline with a strong background in accounting and budget development; 9 to12 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
+ **Leadership:** Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
+ **Strategic Thinking** : Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
+ **Business Acumen:** Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Finance and Accounting:** Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
**Top Candidates Will Also Have:**
+ Strong background in accounting, investment analysis and budget development with practical experience involving technical accounting and reporting issues.
+ Credentialed expertise - Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant
+ Prior leadership experience and organizational capability building
+ Strong communication skills and executive presence
+ Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others to take specific action

**Summary Pay Range:**
$185,400.00 - $278,160.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
