Director Finance
**Responsibilities** Responsible for providing leadership and direction relative to financial & statistical reporting, Provider compensation, planning & budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial modeling, management reporting and decision support for the Medical Group. 1. Responsible for financial analysis, and variance & statistical reporting for the Medical Group. 2. Provides oversight to all aspects of Provider Compensation, including production, quality metrics, call pay, APC supervision, and expense reimbursement. 3. Directs the development and monitoring of the Medical Group’s annual operating budget. a.) Oversee the building the Payroll and GL budget models to be used for the Medical Group’s operating budget using the budgeting tool. b.) Serve as the Finance clinic main contact for assigned clinics and markets. c.) Assist Medical Group executive teams to develop volume assumptions used in the budget process d.) Direct system training to clinic managers and assist in data input and reporting. e.) Provide year-round support to assigned clinics in interpreting financial results and analyzing variances. 4. Plays a lead role in developing internal budget reports, spending and variance analysis, and financial forecasts. 5. Support the Medical Group’s strategic financial planning process through the management of long range financial planning. 6. Support the Medical Group’s strategic business plans through the building of financial models & proforma’s for new providers, clinic acquisitions, and service lines. 7. Provides leadership to the Medical Group’s Finance team, and to the Medical Group as a whole, to promote a culture of rigorous and disciplined financial analytics supporting business decisions. 8. Leads in special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in preparing analyses. 9. Supervises and manages the performance of various employees. 10. Reviews and prepares financial presentations for Board presentations 11. Provides consultation to the Medical Group Operations leadership team to identify negative patterns in production and expense capture, and develops processes to correct root causes. 12. Monitors and Serves as a consultant to establish reconciliation procedures. **Qualifications** **_Education Level_** Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's Degree - Finance or related field preferred. **_Experience_** *At least eight (8) years of related professional finance experience, preferably in the healthcare setting. **_Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities_** *Proficiency in Excel and Word *Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with all levels of hospital management *Able to work relatively independently *Able to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously as well as flexible enough to change direction with responsibilities beyond the normal scope are assigned. **Overview** CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health.
