What you’ll do:
The Director of Finance and Accounting for ITS will be responsible for providing support to the ITS Depart-ment in the areas of financial reporting, planning and analysis of all major financial and business strategy initiatives and procurement activities. Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance for ITS this position will oversee and perform various financial analysis, trending and forecasting, business case modeling and reporting activities that support both the short and long-term strategic plans in the capital & operating budgets of the department. This position will also assist in identifying process and performance metric improvements.
Responsibilities:
· Supervises the accounting and procurement staff of the ITS Department
· Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of all executive and departmental financial reports (MORs) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
· Oversee and ensure all appropriate ITS balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and accurately
· Develop efficient reporting for all staffing, consulting and contracted SOW labor costs throughout major project efforts within the ITS departments
· Monitor all staffing and contractor usage within the department
· Identify, analyze and develop ad-hoc reports for Capital & Operating expenses with HITS departments and
· Facility IT departments to identify cost efficiencies
· Coordinate and enhance annual budget process which includes the Hospital Budget Guidelines, Capital and Operating expense components for both the department and major multi-year projects
· Assist VP of Finance in managing HITS and facility IT&S annual budget and associated analyses, presentation and reporting
· Research and review major contracts for any financial opportunities and efficiencies
· Serves as key lead for business case and profitability analysis for ITS and other internal department projects. Create financial analysis to support all ITS business cases in a straightforward and consumable manner for approval by CIO and other ELT members.
· Create, validate & review financial models for acquisitions and other significant capital expenditures related to IT&S (I.E detailed business cases, payback period, value creation multipliers, comparative analyses and cash flow models)
· Forecast monthly, quarterly expenditures and make recommendations to ITS leadership
· Acts as a business partner by providing financial results, analysis and support to HITS departments
· Must be proficient in Excel
· Utilize the LifePoint financial systems to ensure GL account, vendor, and invoice information is correct.
· Work closely with the corporate accounting department to answer invoice, budget, and contractual questions.
· Regular and reliable attendance.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Exhibit a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
What you’ll need:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in financial analysis field; Healthcare related experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
· Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
· Excellent Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
· Excellent Communication -- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
