**Overview**
We are looking for a hands-on, strategic executive to lead the finance and business operations for a Panasonic division that is divesting and being stood up as an independent operating entity (PPNDA). The position will work out of the Panasonic headquarters in Newark, NJ.

**Responsibilities**
The Director, Finance & Business Operations will lead the sales support operations, financial operations of the organization, providing strategic and operational financial management. This role will encompass financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The Director, Finance & Business Operations will collaborate closely with senior management to drive financial performance, maintain internal controls, and safeguard the organization's assets.
**What You Will Get to Do**
**Strategic Financial Leadership**
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
+ Develop and execute financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
+ Contribute to the establishment of corporate economic strategies, policies, and objectives.
+ Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency, and growth.
**Financial Planning & Analysis**
+ Lead the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
+ Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
+ Oversee financial modeling, return-on-investment analysis, and scenario planning.
+ Support capital budgeting and other financial investment decisions.
**Compliance & Risk Management**
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and other regulatory requirements.
+ Safeguard organizational assets by maintaining appropriate insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Establish relationships with banks, regulatory agencies, and external auditors.
**Accounting Operations**
+ Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management.
+ Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
+ Direct internal audits to ensure operational and financial integrity.
**Operations:**
+ Develops, implements, and monitors operational policies and procedures.
+ Overseeing the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management sales support, logistics, and project management.
+ Collaborate with the PPNDA leadership to establish best practices, streamline operations, increase automation, and strengthen control frameworks.
+ Develops and identifies operational opportunities, systems, controls, procedures for improvement.
+ Translate strategy into actionable steps in partnership with the Sales Leaders and extended team members.
+ Provide strategic guidance toward long-term goals and leadership of day-to-day operations of Finance, logistics, IT, and other administrative functions.
+ Identify and implement operational efficiencies that can reduce costs and enhance productivity across the organization.
+ Drive operational efficiencies and champion initiatives for collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
+ General Leadership
+ Strengthen organization-wide decision-making processes and ensure transparency in communicating these processes and the need of the organization to evolve in order to meet the challenges of a dynamic media market.
+ Drive initiatives that reinforce the organization’s values and promote a high-performance culture.
+ Promote open communication channels across all levels of the organization.
+ Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the business operations teams.
+ Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to staff.
+ Manage and mentor the team to achieve high performance.
+ Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.
+ Oversee recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development within the department.
**Qualifications**
**What You Will bring:**
**Education & Certification**
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
**Experience**
+ Minimum of 15 years of progressive general management including operations, finance and accounting experience, with at least 5-10 years in a leadership role.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
+ Experience in financial planning, analysis, and operational management in a corporate setting.
+ Experience in global small to medium companies preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
+ Experience effectively leading teams and driving operational excellence across functions.
**Skills & Competencies**
+ Exceptional analytical skills and business acumen.
+ Advanced proficiency in SAP, BPC, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
+ Proven ability to develop high-performing teams and lead through change.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
+ Strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate big picture strategic goals into actionable plans.
+ An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the field.
**Other Requirements**
+ Flexibility to travel for meetings and training as required.
+ Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines or attend meetings across time zones.

**The salary range below is just one component of Panasonic Connect's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.**
