Director Finance Operations

Purpose of role:

Director Finance for India- To manage and supervise Financial Operation activities for CWT India Business

Main Responsibilities:

· Financial accounts

o Ensure reliability and integrity of financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with established company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and local regulations and laws.

o Responsible for quarterly and year-end financial reporting and consolidation packages.

· Systems

o Implement managed new systems based on global timelines and process

· Internal control and protection of assets

o Enhance governance over accounting processes

o Ensure that adequate internal control procedures over assets and operations are implemented and followed.

o Ensure that assets are properly accounted for and safeguarded from loss.

o Control commitments as per CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) procedures and authorizations.

o Implement Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance.

o Improvement of financial operational processes, financial controls and procedures

o Close all open Audit item, submit FICA etc on a timely basis and implement recommendation

· Focus on Cash

o Improve cash flow through proper credit management

o Improve cash and working capital actual and forecasting

o Minimize levels of overdue debts. Initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion and reduce DSO

· Optimize finance functions

o Whilst ensuring compliance with CWT policies and guidelines, ensure optimum utilization of resources at best cost.

o Recommend, implement and manage improvements and cost reduction programs.

· External relationships

o Manage and coordinate relationships with:

§ Statutory auditors

§ Tax and legal authorities and controllers (with prior notice and constant information in the event of tax audit).

§ Banks and financial institutions (within CWT Group policies and guidelines)

§ Finance outsourcing

· Ensure delivery of services as contracted, communicate the CWT requirements and business priorities

· Resolve escalated issues in accordance with the Governance escalation procedures

· Identify and agree additional transformation opportunities and oversee the implementation of the agreed initiatives

· Internal controls required for both the retained organization and outsourced staff and activities

· Legal representations

o On an individual basis, may be nominated as company officer, company representative, board member or general manager for temporary or permanent tax, legal or management representation purpose.

· Others

o Review, maintain and update office lease status with global real estate team

o Work closely with Global tax team on HQA management fees billing

o Review and oversee day to day treasury matters and work closely with Global Treasury team

Experience education:

· Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in Financial Operations leadership position (including PTP, RTR and OTC)

Qualification: -

o Degree in Business/ Finance/ Accounting or Chartered Accountant/ ACCA or CPA

o Experience on US GAAP or have work with the big 4 firms

o Experiences with outsourced environment would be advantage
