We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** **Director of Fire Engineering - NEOM The LINE** **About NEOM The LINE:** NEOM is a visionary project in Saudi Arabia, and The LINE is its revolutionary urban development. This ambitious project demands innovative and cutting-edge solutions across all disciplines, including fire engineering. We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Director of Fire Engineering to lead and manage this critical aspect of The LINE's development. This role will be through Parsons, a leading engineering and consulting firm partnering with NEOM. **About the Role:** The Director of Fire Engineering will be responsible for developing and implementing the comprehensive fire safety strategy for The LINE. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations, as well as incorporating international best practices and innovative fire safety solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading fire engineering teams on large-scale, complex projects, preferably with experience in high-rise buildings and smart city developments. **Responsibilities:** + Develop and implement a comprehensive fire safety strategy for The LINE, covering all aspects of fire prevention, detection, suppression, and evacuation. + Lead and manage a team of fire engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship. + Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety considerations into the design and construction of The LINE. + Conduct fire risk assessments and develop fire safety plans for different areas of The LINE. + Oversee the design and installation of fire protection systems, including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and smoke control systems. + Ensure compliance with all relevant fire codes and regulations, including international best practices. + Liaise with local authorities and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals. + Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fire engineering technology and incorporate them into The LINE's fire safety strategy. + Manage the fire engineering budget and resources effectively. + Represent NEOM and Parsons at industry events and conferences. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering or a related field. + Minimum of 25 years of experience in fire engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership role. + Extensive knowledge of fire codes and regulations, including international standards. + Proven experience in performance-based design and fire & emergency response requirements. + Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and motivate a team. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. + Experience working on large-scale, complex projects, preferably in the Middle East. + Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration is preferred.
