ADM, a global leader in human and animal nutrition and the world’s premier agricultural origination and processing company, has an opening for a Director R&D flavor and color ingredients at our Research center located in Erlanger, Kentucky.

We are looking for a highly motivated senior scientist to lead the NA flavor and color ingredients research strategy. The successful candidate will assume responsibility in a central leadership position within ADM research. She/He will lead the design and the execution of the flavor and color ingredient research pipeline in NA, in alignment with business growth ambition. This position will report to Alex Blanchard, Vice-President Research and Development Human Nutrition. 

Job responsibilitiesLead the flavor and color research pipeline NA: design, plan and execute on business growth priorities and design the future projects portfolio within the innovation processImplement research projects related to productivity increase/continuous improvement of production technologiesLead R&D Flavor and Color team in NASupport project management with risk assessment and criteria of success definitionDeliver on projects in accordance with budget, timeline and commercial priorities  Accountable for flavor & color R&D lab and workplace safetyGlobally align and teamwork with the European flavor & color R&D leadSkills and proficienciesPhD in Food Science and Human Nutrition, chemistry, biology or related fields10 years+ of experience in Flavor and Color research and developmentAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, commercial teams, customers, research teams and other stakeholdersAbility to work within cross-functional teams on research projects that involve the design, development and improvement of flavor and color ingredientsStrong expertise in project managementTo promote and conduct research projects with a safety mindset and support ADM culture of innovation and collaborationBe team player with good interpersonal and leadership skillsExcited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
