Employment Type: Permanent Staff (EHRA NF) Vacancy ID: NF0008773 Position Summary/Description: The School of Law is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Development to foster close, meaningful relationships with alumni and secure major philanthropic support for the School. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Development, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 150-200 major gift prospects across North Carolina and select out-of-state regions. Education and Experience: Demonstrated successful major gift fundraising or transferrable experience preferred. Strong preference for applicants with knowledge of and experience at Carolina. Essential Skills: The skill to motivate and engender the confidence of prospects and donors. Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive environment such as a research university setting; and exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by collaborative teamwork, initiative, critical thinking, good judgment, consistency of output, timeliness of follow-through and strength of written and verbal communication skills.
