+ DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
+ Responsible for the operation of Fairview Hospital’s Environmental Services Department, Engineering Department, Facilities Management, Environment of Care Program, and special projects. Plans, organizes, and controls the hospital's facility management function. Requires initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to act rapidly and decisively in critical situations. Creates and maintains an awareness of the concepts espoused by the departments whose goals are maximizing the utilization of manpower, supplies, and equipment while maintaining or improving quality.
+ POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
+ Experience:
+ 3-5 Years previous progressively responsible management experience in facilities management, safety, and construction.
+ Must have in-depth knowledge of Life Safety Codes, federal, state and local regulations.
+ Must be able to read and interpret architectural prints and job specifications.
+ Education and Training:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
+ License, Certification & Registration:
+ License to operate on site boilers must be obtained within 180 days of employment. Must possess valid drivers license with ability to obtain DOT medical card.
+ Other Requirements:
+ Must possess excellent management and interpersonal skills.
+ Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
