Director Global Procurement - Training and Career Development

The Director, Global Procurement - Training and Development is responsible for leading the design, execution, and evolution of our Global Procurement capability agenda. This role will work with leaders across Global Procurement to ensure delivery of training programs, development of functional competencies, and early career talent initiatives. The role will be responsible for shaping the learning culture and internal talent pipeline that powers our global procurement function. This includes owning the end-to-end procurement training strategy, partnering with leaders to identify development needs, and overseeing our early talent development program for new graduates and emerging professionals.
**_This role will require 4 days per week onsite at our Corporate HQ Campus in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is not available as a fully remote / hybrid work._**
As the Director, Global Procurement a typical day may include:
+ Develop and implement a global procurement learning and development strategy aligned to business needs, functional capabilities, and future skill demands.
+ Design, deliver, and scale training programs (e.g., onboarding, functional skills, systems training, leadership development) for all levels of the procurement organization.
+ Lead the design and management of the Future Leaders Early Talent Development Program, including graduate hiring, rotational assignments, mentorship frameworks, and career progression.
+ Establish and maintain a procurement competency framework and learning roadmap for capability building across all regions and categories.
+ Partner with HR, procurement leaders, and external providers to ensure high-quality learning experiences and consistent global standards.
+ Measure the impact of training initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance outcomes; continuously iterate for improvement.
+ Support change management and communication strategies for key procurement initiatives.
+ Leverage digital learning platforms, tools, and analytics to enable scalable, on-demand, and personalized learning.
+ Provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provide leadership examples for the organization
This role may be for you if you have:
+ Demonstrated success leading/supporting procurement / supply chain teams to drive training change programs and efficiencies.
+ Experience building early career talent programs, such as graduate schemes, internships, or rotational programs.
+ Command of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning technologies.
+ Ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
+ High standards for operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
+ Experience leading associate level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports
+ Experience in talent development, including functional capability frameworks and leadership pipeline initiatives.
To be considered for this position you must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study with 10 - 15 years of experience within procurement or supply chain environments (preferably experience in Pharma/BioPharma). This should include progressive expereince developing learning programs and / or early talent rotational programs, with a strong focus on functional capability building inside of Procurement.

$180,400.00 - $300,700.00
