In a center-led organization, the Director of Indirect Sourcing must exhibit strong collaboration and influence skills.
This position is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Department located in Waltham, Massachusetts and will be hybrid in Waltham, Massachusetts.
This role involves:
Developing and Executing Sourcing Strategies: Improve and execute sourcing strategies focused on optimizing the existing supply base to achieve the best leverage and outcomes associated with cost, quality, and delivery. Manage complex contracts, lead negotiations to deliver favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use. Effectively communicate complex strategies, manage, collaborate and delegate in a decentralized global procurement environment on a portfolio of global savings for the spend under management.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various operating companies and departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to align sourcing strategies with overall business goals. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive sourcing initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management: Engage with key stakeholders to gain buy-in for sourcing initiatives and drive organizational change.Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence. Provide strategic and technical leadership with a focus on communication, people development, and a team-centric approach. Play an active role in developing talent within the Indirect Sourcing team.Continuous Improvement: Assess and improve existing tools to support spend visibility, dashboards, reports, and other business intelligence methods that drive action by commodity leaders, regional leaders, and Op Co/segment/platform procurement leaders. Measure and track internal performance within each spend category. Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category to deliver value through collaborative supplier relationship management.Supplier & Cost Management: Manage supplier relationships to ensure high performance, including negotiating contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and addressing any issues that arise. Achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing initiatives. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement efficiency.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.Project Management: Lead and manage stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects. Drive best practices: Lead specific categories and consult on Merger and Acquisition due diligence as requested while leading or supporting acquisition integration projects as a part of overall integration team.The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum of 5 to 10 combined years of experience in Indirect Sourcing such as HR/Professional Services, Travel Management, Fleet Management, MRO, with a Bachelor’s degree in relevant area such as Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, or Finance.At least 3 years of People Management experienceProven track record of success in a global center led organization transforming and building a highly capable teamFull proficiency in use of computer tools including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other database type tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with Lean and/or Six Sigma training or experienceStrong Project Management skillsIt would be great if you also possess:

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $215,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
