Job Description:
As the Director of Global Strategic Partnerships, you will lead Sage’s partnership and alliance strategy for a select set of named accounts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development within the Global Routes to Revenue (RTR) organization, this role focuses on building and executing global partnership agreements with major technology vendors.
This highly strategic role involves driving new customer acquisition (NCA), customer retention, enhanced customer experiences, and digital transformation. You will work with a matrixed, cross-functional team, including Product Management, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Partner Enablement, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies. Collaboration with country and area sales leaders will ensure alignment with Sage’s corporate and regional goals.

Ideal candidates have demonstrated expertise in managing complex multinational alliances and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, scaling global teams, and achieving measurable results. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Global Partner Business Plans that cover the entire partner lifecycle, including awareness, recruitment, enablement, operations, marketing, Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, sales, cross-sell/up-sell, and customer satisfaction.
Establish and manage a standard Executive Rhythm of the Business and Scorecarding process, conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with comprehensive reporting.
Lead a global cross-functional virtual team (v-Team) to drive shared partner success.
Drive executive-level engagement with named partners, aligning VP- and C-level executives within both Sage and the assigned partnership.
Partner with country and area leads to design and deliver GTM initiatives tailored to local market customer segmentation strategies and goals.
Collaborate with Cloud Ops, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Partner Marketing teams to create customer-focused campaigns, offers, and GTM strategies.
Implement a closed-loop lead and deal management process, delivering measurable results aligned with sales and marketing objectives.
Strengthen relationships with accounting organizations and partnership networks, building credibility and driving active participation.
Minimum qualifications:
• 10+ years’ experience business development, channel enablement, product or consulting – (SaaS is preferred)
• Experience driving change in complex organizations
• Exceptional presentation skills particularly around translating data into meaningful insights that broad audiences can easily consume.
• Avid learner who has experience learning new markets and industries and devising solutions and marketing strategies to reach those markets.
