Infrastructure and Onsite Services
Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS) ensures that best in class infrastructure services are developed, supported and operated. The Function also offers best in class onsite services for factories and warehouses. Furthermore, IOS secures the global provision and support of all needed infrastructure services for the Volvo Group, enabling the digital transformation journey we are undertaking.
A vast majority of the infrastructure services are produced by partners where IOS drives the strategic direction. We optimize the setup by securing the right sourcing mix, delivery models and partnerships. The top priority is to drive IT quality and IT security throughout the entire Volvo Group.
IOS also manages onsite deliveries of IT infrastructure and End User Services, manages local Business Areas relationships and interfaces, drives systematic continuous improvement to reduce downtime and create business value.
Application Infrastructure Services
Application Infrastructure Services is part of the Application Services department within Infrastructure & Onsite Services (IOS). The mission of Application Infrastructure is to develop and govern the Infrastructure Services for applications while ensuring their delivery and usage. By that, Application Infrastructure contributes to Volvo Group competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit for purpose infrastructure services, maintaining a balance between time to market, cost, and quality.

Application Infrastructure Services Scope
Application Hosting – Platforms for Mainframe, IBM, OpenVMS, .NET, Java, Storage, X86 hardware, SAP, and Cloud. Integration & BI – Infrastructure for Integration, EDI, and Business Intelligence. Shared Cloud Infrastructure – A common cloud layer for Volvo’s public cloud services.
You will lead a high-performing team and drive service maturity to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Strategy & Development
Define service strategy, roadmaps, and innovation. Oversee service development, project steering, and financials. Contribute to Volvo Group Digital & IT long-term planning.Service Delivery & Outsourcing Management
Ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and supplier compliance. Manage incident/problem resolution and operational processes. Handle financial, contractual, and commercial aspects of outsourcing. Oversee budget, cost monitoring, and supplier negotiations.People & Stakeholder Management
Lead direct reports and partner-managed teams. Collaborate with Group Digital & IT and other internal stakeholders.Product Management
Manage retained infrastructure products. Align with DevSecOps models for service development.
Required competencies and experience
University/master’s degree or relevant experience in Application Infrastructure Service oriented mindset and business mindset Experience of governance: directing, planning, budgeting and governance of IS/IT services Experience of IT outsourcing / managed services Proven experience in leading, developing and coaching people Experience from leadership in a global context Strong experience with Application Infrastructure Experience with steering of projects and programs Excellent communication & presentation skills
