Our Home Health team provides services to support clients and their caregivers in their homes. Our services range from care for chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiac issues, and kidney problems to shorter-term care following an accident or surgery. We also provide care when clients finish a stay in short-term rehabilitation at one of our communities. We are looking for a Director of Home Health to focus on outcomes, quality, and growth.

Responsibilities will include:

Establishes strategic direction for the department and creates and implements plans to achieve stated goals.  Oversees compliance and management activities of the Home Health Department. Responsible for survey readiness and overall success. Recognizes and celebrates success at the individual and team levels. Provides ongoing, consistent, and timely communications with team members through in-person meetings, phone calls, virtual meetings, and email. Takes time to be present with team members in the field as well as within WesleyLife Communities for Healthy Living. Closely collaborates with other programs, departments, and communities to assess and meet the needs of WesleyLife clients/patients. Delegates, but retains accountability for, developing and successfully implementing staffing models, quality assurance practices, confidentiality/compliance standards, and regulatory practices. Partners with the WesleyLife At Home sales team to use appropriate market intelligence and relevant data to identify service growth opportunities in current and new market areas. Business development tasks will be the focus at least 10% of the time. Continuously evaluates satisfaction, quality, and performance measures. Develops and implements processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.  Develops and manages the budget.  Performs on-call duties as defined by the on-call policy including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Travels in all weather conditions and to all areas of the department service area to perform co-visits or client visits as needed. Manages home health team members including interviewing, selecting, and terminating team members; manages performance; monitors productivity and addresses quality and productivity issues; completes performance reviews on time; and manages timekeeping. Candidates should have: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa. At least five years of home health work experience with a minimum of three years of leadership experience directing a multidisciplinary team is highly preferred. Business development experience with demonstrable success as shown through census/revenue growth. Experience in operational, strategic, and budgetary planning and implementation. Valid unrestricted Iowa driver’s license. Current vehicle insurance. Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Our salary range for this role is $95,000 - $121,000 / year. Starting pay rate will be based on years of experience.
