Our large progressive Home Health Agency serves a diverse client base throughout the Sacramento Service area. We are looking for a Director of Home Health Services to lead our caring and strong multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Responsibilities:
Provides quality home health services to the community. Develops and markets new programs. Is accountable for strategic and tactical planning and the operation and integration of the assigned region-wide services.Collaborates with other Directors and Supervisors to support the hospital's role as a community health service provider and to further the goal of becoming the preeminent healthcare delivery system. Maintains a positive fiscal stature by ensuring maximum reimbursement from Medicare and third-party payers. Ensures departmental compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and The Joint Commission requirements. Ensures that performance and quality standards are in place and continuously monitors this performance for respective area of responsibility.Ensures the provision of quality services through the selection and development of a staff that supports current needs as well as future growth.Establishes and ensures compliance with productivity standards to expedite the effective operation and improvement of the units supervised.The incumbent will keep the organization’s mission, vision and values at the forefront of associate decision making and action. Ensuring that the patient/customer perspective is a driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients'/customers' and own organization’s needs.
Knowledge of:
Healthcare Regulatory Environment: Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in healthcare practices and activities. (e.g. California Department of Health, Title 22, Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation, Accreditation Commission for Health Care)Home Care Agency Operations: Knowledge of the day-to-day operations in a home care services agency; ability to effectively manage and maintain activities that support the performance of home care services. Home Based Healthcare Services: Knowledge of policies, products, and processes of home based healthcare services; ability to utilize tools and techniques to provide healthcare services in a home-based environment. Minimum Qualifications:
Current CA RN licenseMinimum of five (5) years of health service administration management experience in home care or a related health care program. Master’s Degree in Nursing, healthcare-related field or business or seven (7) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.
