About This Opportunity This opportunity offers a leadership role in managing corporate accounting operations across LATAM markets, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS while overseeing financial reporting and month-end close processes. The position requires a strategic approach to maintaining and improving internal controls, mentoring accounting staff, and driving continuous improvement in financial operations. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with management on special assignments and supporting company-wide compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements. Responsibilities Direct and manage corporate accounting team for LATAM markets. Maintain financial accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, training and mentoring staff. Ensure accurate monthly close of corporate cost centers. Ensure monthly reconciliation of corporate balance sheet accounts on a timely basis Manage company-wide monthly close calendar. Completion of monthly internal and external reporting on a timely basis. Oversee consolidation of monthly financial statements. Ensure elimination of balance sheet intercompany accounts. Oversight of P&L elimination entries. Manage annual external audit. Administer compliance with US GAAP and IFRS across business units. Approval and administration of general ledger accounts and operating entities in Oracle financial system. Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills. Assist management on special assignments. Provide analytical and accounting support to month-end closing process and ensure ongoing integrity of balance sheet accounts. Act as co-leader in maintaining and improving internal controls relating to local accounting and information systems. Support company compliance with internal control processes and documentation requirements Drive continuous improvement in transactional cycles. Qualifications 5+ years’ experience managing and developing a team. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Strong analytical, Excel, and system skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing accounting operations for multiple LATAM countries. Experience managing multinational teams Experience managing team performance and working through simple to complex employee relations issues to include creating clear development paths for staff, performance evaluations, team building, and formal or informal coaching. Proven experience automating manual processes and managing change. Keen ability to spot trends and opportunities as well as inconsistencies and/or issues with data. Positively manage expectations and handle concurrent requests on a timely basis in a changing, demanding environment. Experience in successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams.
