Director II - Field Operations Finance

The position holder is the key finance business partner for the SVP of North America Institutional Field Sales leading field compensation, sales reporting and analytics, sales budgeting, and executive decision support for driving profitable growth. Main responsibilities include designing and driving key performance metrics to accelerate sales growth and maximize operating income and partnering with Human Resources on incentive compensation plan design and execution.  Additional focus is on formulating strategy, establishing objectives, selecting and planning investments, allocating resources, and improving productivity of the North America Field Sales organization in partnership with the sales leadership team.  Our North America Field Compensation Center of Excellence (COE) also reports to this position.  The position manages a team of about 20 Finance and Finance Systems resources.

Main Responsibilities:

Report, analyze, and summarize sales and operational performance results including variance and trend analysis, risks and opportunity assessment, identification and follow up of corrective actions, and driving fact-based business decision-makingDevelop sound business processes and create strong control environment around field compensationPresent financial information to sales leadership to drive alignment of financial goals, including training of sales associates on financial reports as neededSupport the Strategic Business Review, Annual Sales Plan process, and monthly sales forecasting.  Ensure delivery of insights needed to finalize annual action plans, investments, and targets.Develop ad hoc analysis to supplement standard reporting to identify business opportunities or diagnose business challengesProvide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development to division finance associates to achieve business results and prepare associates for future responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

15+ years total experience with relevant experience in FP&A and/or Sales FinanceFour-year college degree in Finance or Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA and CPA preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership success in driving organizations to superior levels of performance, including attracting, retaining and developing high potential talent.Proven success and comfort in a multi-divisional matrix organization.  Must have a strong ability to understand how business operates in real world and display strong customer focus.A high impact individual who is comfortable working with strong executive management.  Previous experience working closely with senior level managers (SVP/GM’s/VP’s of Divisions or Regions) is preferred.Above average executive presence with excellent presentation, interpersonal and consultative skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and develop positive business relationships.A self-motivated and high energy individual that thrives in an environment characterized by growth, change and opportunity.
