With the support of more than 30,000 team members, we promote a forward-thinking philosophy that’s built on a foundation of trust, dignity, respect, responsibility and clinical excellence. **Director Infection Control - BayCare Health System Summary:** + Responsible for leading the strategic direction and oversight of the infection prevention program across the healthcare system, including hospitals, ambulatory facilities, outpatient services and post-acute care settings. + Develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive Emerging Pathogens Program ensuring rapid readiness and response to evolving infectious disease threats. + Provides expert guidance on infection prevention regulatory requirements (examples include: DOH, CMS, AHCA, CDC and TJC) and lead system readiness for related surveys and audits. Collaborates with clinical, operational and support service departments to integrate infection prevention into all aspects of care delivery and system planning. + Monitor infection trends and oversee data collection, analysis and reporting to drive targeted interventions and systemwide quality improvement. + Standardize infection prevention practices, protocols and surveillance methods across care environments to ensure consistency, efficiency and regulatory compliance. + Serve as the primary liaison to local and state public health authorities during outbreaks, emergencies or emerging pathogen events. + Mentor and support a high-performing team of infection prevention professionals, fostering continuous learning and professional growth. + Champion a culture of safety and accountability by engaging team members and leaders in proactive infection risk reduction strategies. **Minimum Qualifications:** **Required License/Certification:** + CIC (Infection control certification) and RN (Registered Nurse) State of FL license or + Medical Technologist or RRT (Respiratory Therapist) and + active NBRC credential for RRT. **Required Education:** + Bachelor’s in Nursing or related field + or Masters in Public Health. **Required Experience:** + 7 years Clinical Related with 5 years of Infection Control and + 5 years leadership experience. **Location:** **BayCare System Office - Clearwater, Florida** **Status:** **Full Time, Exempt: Yes** **Shift Hours:** **8:00AM - 5:00PM** Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled **Position** Director Infection Control **Location** Clearwater:BayCare Sys Office West | Leadership | Full Time **Req ID** null
