THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING FREQUENT ON-SITE WORK- MUST BE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE
EPIC certification preferred; if not certified, must become EPIC certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory EPIC training sessions.
Must be available to travel for EPIC training the week of 3/31/2025.

About this position:
The Technical Director for the EHR transformation will be responsible for overseeing multiple technical and operational areas critical to the successful implementation and continued support of the Epic EHR system. This role will lead technical support functions during implementation and ensure operational stability post-implementation, maintaining efficiency during steady state. Key areas include business intelligence, cross- application support, and technical infrastructure including testing activities. The director will manage teams across these areas, focusing on team performance, resource management, and delivering key outcomes, while also ensuring the system remains stable and optimized post-implementation.
Principal duties and responsibilities:Team leadership & performance management: Directly supervise leads for each technical areas, providing guidance and leadership while ensuring team performance aligns with project goals and organizational objectives.Risk and Issue Management: Ensure resolution of integrated technical issues across applications slated for implementation, ensuring ongoing system availability and performance.Cross-Program Collaboration: Collaborate with other program leads, governance groups, and integrated workgroups to ensure alignment on cross-functional workflow and content, facilitating seamless integration across the project and addressing interdependencies effectively.Reporting & Communication: Regularly report project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership, ensuring clear communication across all levels.Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)8 - 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on healthcare IT and large-scale EHR implementations or similar experience (Epic experience preferred but not required).Must be able to secure Epic certification.Demonstrated knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle (SLDC).Demonstrated knowledge of multiple methodologies (Waterfall, AGILE).Previous integrations/Interfaces experience.Experience managing employees with technical expertise.#LI-CD1
