Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned International Human Resources Director with expertise in international HR operations, legal and regulatory requirements for multiple countries, employee relations, labor negotiations, and executive support.  The Director will oversee and enhance our expanding international operations.  The Director will work with international-based employees (expatriates, third-country nationals, and host-country national staff) to develop, implement, and continuously monitor HR systems, policies, projects, and procedures.  Additionally, the Director will deliver proactive and consistent HR support and guidance managing our international HR initiatives to drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted HR advisor to HR leadership, providing strategic input on international HR matters. Ensure that global HR initiatives align with corporate objectives and support the growth and development of executive leadership. Ensure overall compliance with international locations local and country rules and regulations. Address and resolve workplace issues, provide guidance on complex employee relations matters. Partner with ET Shared Services on global talent acquisition and onboarding for local and expatriate talent. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand needs, develop job descriptions, and support the identification of high-caliber candidates. Support and steward global leadership with training and performance management programs, processes, and inquiries. Support the implementation of performance improvement plans and address performance issues proactively. Function as a liaison with labor unions and other collective bargaining entities in partnership with Shared Services Labor Relations. Support the negotiation of agreements, compliance with international labor laws, and handle dispute resolutions to maintain positive labor relations. Facilitate the execution of expatriate programs as the employee’s first point of contact regarding all inquiries and support needs. Support policy maintenance that ensures compliance with global labor laws, company standards, and cultural expectations. Regularly review and global HR law in consultation with the Shared Services Legal Department. Recommend policies or practices to address global trends and best practices to improve the efficiency and quality of the HR function.

Requirements: 
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a Fortune 500 company. Proven experience in international HR operations, employee relations, labor negotiations, and executive support. Experience managing expatriate programs and navigating international recruiting and labor laws. Exceptional communication and people skills with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and work autonomously. Ability to travel extensively to oversee HR initiatives and build relationships across global locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Master’s degree in Human resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions.  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.  Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
