Job Overview:
We’re hiring for a Director level position located in the United Kingdom (working primarily from London, Victoria or Studley, West Midlands) to manage AT&T’s International real estate interests which includes both office and ‘business-critical’ technical space such as data centers and connectivity facilities. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for International Real Estate, the role takes responsibility for a small team of AT&T professional and support staff as well the management of sub-contracted and outsourced vendor relationships.
With responsibility for property interests in over 90 countries the Director will oversee the budget, strategy and delivery of estate transactions for technical (datacenters) and administration space, as well as construction project management and facility management outside the USA and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages acquisitions, disposal, lease renewals, rationalisation on an estate of approximately 1.5 million sq-ft comprising 160 technical and 100 administration locations worldwide. Collaborates with business unit leaders to develop and harmonize strategic real estate requirements and solutions.Maximizes the value and effective use of the real estate portfolio.Undertakes data driven analysis, promotion and implementation of new work-place strategies, throughout the world, delivering significant cost savings and improved working practices. Drives performance and contract management of vendors delivering brokerage and construction project management services for an international portfolio. Establishes strategic plans and business cases for AT&T real estate including downsizes, lease restructures, sub-letting. Leads project management of building design and construction services.Ensures the reliable, cost-effective, and safe execution of building maintenance and facility management activities.Desired Experiences & Qualifications:
Typically requires ten or more years of experience, including supervisory experience.Expertise in managing ‘technical’ real estate e.g data centres, masts etc.Requires the proven ability to lead change management within a global real estate organization.Must diplomatically balance financial accountability with client requirements, and legal obligations with cost management.Experience regularly interacting with senior management or executive levels on internal and external situations concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.Willingness and availability to have 24/7 responsibility to respond to emergency situations.Occasional travel to AT&T sites, domestic and international.Degree in Business, Construction or Real Estate or related field would be desirable.Compensation:
Salary from £107k gross per annum. The actual offered salary may be higher based on your skills, knowledge, and experience. As a guide the salary mid-point for a Level 3 ‘Director’ is £133k per annum.
