Primary Function
The Director Investor Accounting is responsible for the oversight of the Investor Accounting department of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, or Private portfolios. The Director Investor Accounting will ensure that reconciliations are completed in accordance with investor and regulatory guidelines.

Oversee the monthly reconciliations completed by multiple teams each month. Ensure all account reconciliations are timely and complete, all accounts have been approved and all clearing wires are completed prior to the end of the cycle.Resolve any coding issues with reports by working with management to make the necessary changes and update policies and procedures.Manage ad hoc projects and assignments as neededResponsible for the development and management of staff at multiple sitesCreates reports (quality, productivity, customer service, operational efficiency)Manages projects with IT to conduct testing to meet project timelinesCreates and maintains project schedulesPartner with Corporate Accounting to identify any impact to the General LedgerWork with internal Investor Control team to ensure accurate information is supplied for various audits both internal and external.Coordinate with the department's management to address issues identified so that reoccurring process issues can be remedied.Performs related duties as assigned by management.Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.8+ years of Mortgage Servicing with 5+ years Investor Accounting experience required.2+ years of Management experience required.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
Advanced MS Excel experience required including pivot tables, vlookups and other complex formulasProficient in MS Word and PowerPointSQL or other database reporting experience preferredServicing Director knowledge a plusProven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.Strong communication skills to interact with Senior Management and other business units.Working understanding of operational risks and related controls.Understanding of RegAB and USAP GuidelinesWhile this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
