Leads the strategy, architecture, and execution of data management best practices across the organization ensuring the effective use, security, and governance of data. Leads a team and partners with Senior Leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset, driving business insights, compliance, and competitive advantage.  

Responsibilities Oversees the MEC Enterprise Data Platform, data architecture, data models, and management tools to support business objectives.Partners with stakeholders to identify data needs and supports business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics initiatives that enable strategic decision-making.Drives the adoption of best practices of data management, governance, quality, architecture, and lifecycle management to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.Leads the execution of ETL (extract, transform, load) activities as defined in MEC’s application modernization roadmap.Establishes and oversees data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and privacy, across multiple business system platforms.Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc., and manages data-related risks.Leads and develops a team of data professionals, including data architects, engineers, and governance specialists.Evaluates and selects data management technologies and tools that align with the organization's needs and strategy.Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality data management solutions.Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work performance management; department budget. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope. Job Skills Requirements 

Data Management: Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and database management systems.Data Governance: Expertise in building and maintaining Data Governance programsETL/ELT Processes: Strong understanding of data integration and transformation tools.Analytics and BI Tools: Expertise with platforms like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.Strong program management expertise including significant knowledge of productivity tools.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate strategic vision and influence, inspire, and motivate staff.Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and strategic planning and execution skills.Understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and Data Governance to business leaders.Strong facilitation skills with experience engaging teams in a collaborative, distributed environment.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.Certifications in Data Management principles preferred.

Experience Requirements

Ten years of experience in IT and Enterprise Data.Manufacturing and ERP experience highly preferred.
