Job Description

We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale.  You will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. The Work itself: 

As a Director, you will lead a world-class team of Engineers to define, drive and execute on a shared strategic vision for Payment Products. You will be closely working with Business partners to understand and elaborate requirements. You will drive the development and integration efforts and work with technical partners to facilitate use cases, sizing efforts, and timelines. You will initiate processes that allow the team to collaborate with local as well as global teams with a high degree of efficiency. You will lead a team of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate with Project Managers, Product Partners, and SMEs across the company on high impact Payment Product initiatives. 

 

Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution 

Work with product partners in developing a strategy and road maps to provide compelling capabilities that helps them succeed in their business goals 

Work closely with architects and senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development 

Instill best practices for software development, and deliver high quality work on tight schedules 

Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes 

Mentor junior team members, develop departmental procedures and best practices standards 

Collaborate, negotiate, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate new ideas with business partners 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in building large-scale data processing applications, at least 3 years of which were in leading engineering teams

Extensive experience in full stack projects, demonstrating proficiency in both front-end development, including frameworks like Angular or React, and back-end development using frameworks such as Spring Framework and Spring Boot

Experience with DBMS, including RDBMS like MySQL and in-memory databases like Redis

Strong knowledge of API design and development

Hands-on expertise with Java

Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux

Familiarity with AI concepts and tools, including GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Agentic AI

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with highly distributed, scalable, concurrent, and low latency systems

Experience working in an Agile and Test-Driven Development environment

Proven experience delivering large scale, highly available production software

Strong business and technical vision

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong automation mindset

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

A deep understanding of end-to-end software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time

Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, strong attention to detail, team oriented, energetic, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style
