Purpose

To manage and enhance employee and labor relations within the business unit by fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and employee experience, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fair treatment, addressing employee concerns to maintain workforce stability and productivity.

In this role you will: Develop the Business Unit Labor Relations strategy in alignment with the global strategy and standard.Develop collective bargaining strategy and plan in alignment with the global framework.Lead collective negotiations.Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee disputes and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company standards, fair treatment practices. Labor law and collective bargaining agreements.Develop and review local labor relations policies and procedures to reflect current laws, best practices, and business direction.Develop training content for front line leaders to ensure understanding and knowledge of collective bargaining commitments and rights.-   Maintain effective communication and relationships with unions, employees, and managers. -         Oversee the execution of thorough investigations into labor disputes, complaints, and grievances, and recommend appropriate actions.-      Analyze labor relations data and trends to identify issues and recommend solutions to improve employee experience and productivity.-    Advise managers on labor relations issues, potential risks, and strategies for improving employee engagement and satisfaction.Maintain effective communication and relationships with unions, employees, and managers.Analyze labor relations data and trends to identify issues and recommend solutions to improve employee experience and productivity..Training & Experience A Director of Employee and Labor Relations must possess a Bachelor's or graduate degree in industrial relations, organizational development, international relations, law, business administration, social sciences, or related fieldsAdvanced knowledge and extensive experience in employee and labor relations, including collective bargaining, conflict resolution, and grievance handling. A deep understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations is essentialHigh ethical standards and sound judgment are crucial for handling sensitive labor relations issues with confidentiality and integrity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively liaise with employees, management, and labor unions.Bilingual : Spanish and EnglishWorking Conditions This job is located at Cerro Negro mine, in Santa Cruz province in Argentina.In this role you will work  8X6 schedule. The position will require regular travel to domestic and international sites.
