Director - Langland, Medical Communications

To ensure excellence in everything we make, we have centred our disciplines around three essential crafts: science, strategy and creativity. **Overview** Langland Medical Strategy & Education (MSE) are looking for a Director to manage multiple portfolios, being accountable for a revenue target and pursuing opportunities to grow the business against that target. The role will lead a specific business management function (e.g. recruitment or finances) within the discipline with support from the Managing Partner, as well as having significant input in business development opportunities and taking a key role in pitch and proposal development. We're looking for a problem solver, someone who can proactively find solutions and ways for the business to evolve, improve, grow. **Responsibilities** **What you will do:** + Supports development of the agency annual business plan + Delivers on core agency objectives against the agency business plan + Actively seeks opportunities to create cross-discipline opportunities for Langland and the wider Publicis Health agencies + Actively seeks opportunities to grow the business within current accounts and into new accounts + Proactively works with clients to deliver their key business objectives + Builds and maintains key client relationships + Maintains account oversight ensuring highest quality standards in project delivery + Takes responsibility for revenue target across accounts or portfolio of accounts + Takes responsibility for account forecasting, and attaining revenue targets and profitability + Builds teams based on business need and potential opportunity + Manages development and continuous feedback within their team/workstream + Proactively leads the team, managing all employee-related responsibilities including recruitment, pay cycles/promotions, and underperformance + Proactively coaches and mentors team members to achieve their desired goals. + Motivates the team and proactively finds ways to boost team morale. **Qualifications** **Who you are:** + Proven experience in a relevant role within a healthcare communications agency + A track record building strong relationships with senior clients and third party stakeholders + Experience across global/regional/UK projects + Strong experience with building and managing teams, including line management, developing, mentoring and motivating junior members of the team + Proven business management experience including financial management and preparing forecasts + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills + Demonstratable experience in strategic thinking + Strong experience with organic growth and new business development Please note: Publicis Groupe operates a hybrid working pattern with full time employees being office-based three days during the working week. **Additional information** **Langland** has fantastic benefits on offer to all of our employees.
