PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $194,400.00-$237,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $151,400.00 - $280,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the Director Loan Pricing at BECU, you’ll develop and manage pricing strategies for Consumer and Business loans to ensure profitable growth, balance retention, and member value, supporting our financial goals. You'll work closely with loan product management leaders to create a strong value proposition for loan products, ensuring we support our members' needs.

Your role involves collaborating with marketing, finance, risk management, legal, sales, and IT to deliver leading product and pricing offerings that meet member needs and optimize profitability. You’ll be accountable for implementing pricing strategies to drive growth and profitability through analysis of member behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape, focusing on ensuring actions offer a sound value proposition. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with Treasury and Finance to validate assumptions used in asset/liability management, interest rate risk scenarios, and funds transfer pricing.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, SC, and AZ. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila HQ, we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week.  For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Manage Financial Performance: Oversee Consumer Loan and Business Profit & Loss (P&L) and support efforts to achieve business plan and expectations, focusing on growing loan balances and membership in line with BECU’s purpose.

Evaluate Product Set: Review and manage the product set (features/function) for financial results, market competitiveness, member experience, regulatory compliance, risk management, operational efficiency, and delivery.

Ensure Compliance: Ensure applicable regulations related to the business line are adhered to and associated risks are mitigated.

Coach and Mentor: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to individuals and teams to enable growth and development. Meet with staff on a timely basis to provide feedback on goals and competencies.

Report Performance: Develop and provide product performance reporting to executives and key governing committees, including BECU’s performance and benchmark data, in partnership with the SVP of Consumer Lending and business partners.

Drive Growth: Deliver an industry-leading product offering that drives strong, profitable growth across BECU.

Optimize Product Mix: Leverage segmentation to drive acquisition and retention strategies that support member financial well-being.

Support Sales: Ensure the product pricing team delivers sales support to all distribution channels (e.g., .com, mobile, contact center, NFC) and communicates product value propositions effectively.

Manage Vendors: Oversee vendor contracts and relationships, ensuring BECU members receive cost-efficient and quality service.

Identify and Mitigate Risks: Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, statistics, finance or related discipline or equivalent work or educational experience.

Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience in product management, data science, finance or visualization for products and/or platforms, from strategy to market, to ongoing improvements.

Typically requires 5 years of people leader experience.

Experience in the financial services industry.

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced degree.

Understanding of Product P&L, member value, and return on investment/return on assets drivers.

High analytical with experience leveraging different types of data to form hypotheses and ultimately build and recommend a strategy.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to executives in summary form.

Ability to influence and work across technical and cross-functional or highly matrixed teams.

Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations that impact financial institutions industry.
