Responsibilities Job Summary The Local Government Relations Director is responsible for directing the advocacy priorities and relationships at the municipal level in communities served by HonorHealth. Develops advocacy strategies and maintains trusting relationships with a wide range of local leaders and community organizations. Is knowledgeable of issues impacting each local community and provides strategic guidance to the Vice President, Government & Community Affairs on opportunities for HonorHealth to best engage and advocate. Serves as the primary representative to key community organizations to further enhance relationships and promote HonorHealth. Acts as a liaison to municipal elected officials and city staff, primarily in East Valley communities, to execute the annual HonorHealth advocacy priorities and advance the HonorHealth mission. Develops, enhances and maintains strategic relationships across each assigned city. Serves as HonorHealth representative to key community organizations including chambers, school districts, and nonprofits. Is visible in the community and works to connect HonorHealth with partners around key strategic priorities and programs. Collaborates with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with overall brand objectives in key communities. Works to identify funding opportunities and grants at the local level in coordination with the HonorHealth Foundation and executes strategic partnerships in support. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration or related field. Required Experience 5 years Government or lobbying experience at the local level. Required
