Position Overview The Director of Marketing Technology (MarTech) & Operations, reporting to the VP of Marketing & Sales Enablement, will focus on building and implementing a modern MarTech platform focusing on providing the entire function with advanced Marketing capabilities to facilitate leading marketing digital strategies. The core platform will focus on the end-to-end MarTech stack covering experience, campaign management, and personalization capabilities. This individual will partner closely with Commercial & Service Solution leaders, Marketing peers, and Digital/IT teams to ensure optimal solution design that delivers on the business & functional goals. To do this, the individual will need to leverage insights on Marketing trends, the MarTech industry, with a detailed understand the various business unit’s needs. It will be necessary to have a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, and digital innovation and service models for industries with direct & distribution channel partners. In addition, the individual in this role will interface with multiple internal and external entities (vendors/agencies, BUs, customers, Digital/IT technology, Brand/Communication, teams, LATAM colleagues, etc.) to employ best in class capabilities for around MarTech and overall customer experiences. Key success factors for the role include partnering with all businesses to assist in forming, setting, and executing a digital marketing strategy and building the platform to support those strategies. This person will also lead “operational” teams for delivery of website/CRM content & promotions as well as the Retail Team working with their respective Dealer Marketing professionals. As part of this responsibility, they will have resources for Process Excellence & the Marketing PMO. This lead must excel in a matrix environment, and quickly and effectively gaining cross functional alignment with key partners (such as Commercial Leadership, Service Solution & various internal stakeholders). This leader must have a strong background in MarTech and be a passionate advocate for leading our MarTech initiatives across the company. This individual will lead a team of people and resources supporting the MarTech & Operations teams. The position will be based at our corporate Headquarters in in Lisle, Illinois. Responsibilities Partner with enterprise leaders across all business units and align on integrated, strategic roadmaps which support business priorities. Focus on elevating the MarTech capabilities across the enterprise, primarily focused on a way that is tied to the overall business strategy. Work with stakeholders across Marketing and the enterprise to define, design, integrate and measure KPIs that support and drive business outcomes, as Product Owners on digital experience and platform scrum teams. Define, measure and be accountable for key digital KPIs/metrics relative to the MarTech adoption across multiple business units, driving digital outcomes and providing the right technology to functional & business leaders. Provide guidance and oversight of MarTech roadmaps that align with business needs and cross-enterprise vision through the development of business cases and cost benefit analyses to secure strategic portfolio funding. Leads cross functional teams and a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring the strategic direction and outcomes of the businesses are reflected in the execution of these initiatives. Initiate and leverage market insights on digital market trends, the competitive landscape, and digital innovation and service/sales models across the financial services/insurance industry. Collaborate and partner with multiple internal and external entities (CPO peer group, vendors, global technology, marketing teams, control partners, other Business Units) to ensure optimal solutions and delivery on outcomes. Lead group of product owners, business analysts, and technology teams with an agile methodology, oversee successful development with appropriate velocity and quality. Create consistency around our prioritization and communication associated with our development builds. Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members Represent International with Dealers and Customers in the process of developing and implementing the Commercial Strategy Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications. Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the International’s mission and values. Protect International’s reputation by keeping information confidential. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 14 years of marketing experience At least 6 years of management experience OR Master’s degree At least 12 years of marketing experience At least 6 years of management experience OR At least 16 years of marketing experience At least 6 years of management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Master's Degree preferred Digital Product Management and Marketing experience, including leadership in these roles. Proven leadership skills managing complex projects and cross functional teams. Experience in leading multiple cross functional scrum teams using agile methodology with strong technical know-how and acumen. Strong background across Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Truck or equivalent. Strong user experience/design background with a record of working closely with designers and journey managers to deploy innovative products on both web and mobile. Deep knowledge and passion for MarTech industry and key players including Adobe with emphasis on content management systems (CMS), CRM (Salesforce) campaign management platforms, personalization/experimentation capabilities, and digital asset management solutions. Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements surrounding MarTech capabilities. This role requires excellent communication and “sales/revenue generation” capabilities, with frequent exposure to large and senior audiences around the company and externally in industry forums (conferences, speaking engagements) Understanding & passion for Customer / Employee / Channel Partner Experience with working knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics& Experience measurement platforms (Qualtrics). Experience analyzing trends in MarTech product design, mobile design, responsive design, omni-channel campaigns. Track record of successfully delivering projects with iterative release components Strong problem solving, decision making, negotiation, and partnership skills. Strategic mindset: able to distill complicated scenarios into straightforward plans and create followership. Intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn, grow, and improve.
