The Role

The Director of Copper Retirement and Migrations will lead and oversee the strategic initiatives for retiring and migrating copper-based infrastructure within the Mass Markets business unit. This role will focus on effectively managing the transition from legacy copper systems to modern alternatives, ensuring minimal disruption to customers, driving EBITDA margins, and optimizing operational efficiencies.
 

Location and Schedule This is a Work From Home position in the United StatesThere will be some travel required to specific territories that support the business unit. The Main Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for copper retirement and customer migration, aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and support wire center decommissioning strategies in coordination with Enterprise, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and Mass Markets teams.Operational Management: Manage the entire process of copper retirement submissions, ensuring timely and efficient handling of projects and addressing resource gaps.Data Analysis: Identify and analyze data sources to support central office discontinuance and cross-box / field equipment retirement.Go-To-Market Strategy: Coordinate the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for alternative voice solutions, including marketing, sales, and call center plans.Customer Migration: Develop and implement strategies for migrating POTS customers to new voice alternatives, including proactive and reactive approaches.Automation and Process Improvement: Automate highly manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and support regulatory filings and CAG escalations.Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with vendors to support copper retirement initiatives.Performance Metrics: Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate the success of copper retirement and migration projects.Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects and ensure successful delivery.  Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey concepts, ideas, and solutions effectively. What We Look For in a Candidate

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
